  Mortiboys, J., Private, R.M.L.I. He was mobilised from the Reserve at the outbreak of war, and took part in the Battle of Mons. He was also in action at Le Cateau, La Bassee, Ypres, Neuve Chapelle, St. Eloi, Hill 60, Loos, Beaumont-Hamel, Messines and Cambrai, and then did duty in H.M.S. 'Gibraltar' in the Irish Sea and elsewhere. He holds the Mons Star, and the General Service and Victory Medals, and was demobilised in January 1919.170 Pershore Street, Birmingham.

 

  Mortiboys, A.L., Gunner, Royal Field Artillery Shortly after volunteering in September 1914 he proceeded to France, and took part in the Battle of Bassee, Ypres and Loos. In 1915 he was transferred to Salonika, on which front he was in action in numerous engagements of note in various sectors, and was wounded in February 1916. He was demobilised on his return to England in February 1919, and holds 1914 - 15 Star, and the General Service and Victory Medals. 9 North Street, Daventry, Northants.
